Activ 8 is the most unethical, unprofessional company I have ever had dealings with. I do not recommend any one to use their service unless you are looking to be verbally abused and scammed!!!!

I’m making this information public to everyone who is thinking of going through a crash course in order to pass their driving test in a matter of weeks or even days, this is a good way of achieving your driving skills in a limited time period and can prove success, but not to forget the exorbitant course fees most of these driving schools have to offer for their courses.
I have been for several crash courses in the past 3 months, but one of them has been with a company called ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL (www.activ8driving.com), which I must give credit for, for booking my driving tests on time & exactly when I wanted to take them, but…………when I was given the tuitions prior to my driving tests, I expected to be instructed by qualified & experienced instructors, to my amazement, I didn’t seem to think that they were qualified enough to be teaching a life skill.
Further more, the credit card that I used for payment to ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL was been repeatedly abused by their so called accountant, every time I phoned them up to enquire about transactions made on my account which weren’t supposed to be there, they would just say it’s a mistaken transaction made by their so called accountant & will be replaced by the next working day, which never happened, so I just accumulated a whole lot of transactions & interest to deal with, which never would have happened if I chose to learn to drive with a more reputable driving school.
These people are so engrossed into this ‘criminal activity‘, that they even forget to apologise, & are extremely abrupt .
They claim to have branches situated outside of the U.K., but this is just an excuse to explain to their customers the reason their accounts are being debited with euros & not pounds. This then leads to the wrong amount of fees taken from your account to what is advertised on their site.
If the fees been debited are less then supposed to be, they will debit again, but with unknown added fees.
This experience with ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL, has caused much grief for me & for their other unsuspecting customers, & I’m on the verge of opening up a criminal case against them.
So in conclusion I think that ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL is just a criminal syndicate waiting to pounce on their next vulnerable. unsuspecting victim.

I too wish I had searched about ACTIV8 DRIVING SCHOOL (www.activ8driving.com) before paying them £1,400 of my money for their so called crash course ... Just like yourself I have been ripped off - I had a similar horrible experience ... and more!

I would NEVER, EVER recommend ACTIV8 DRIVING SCHOOL - 0845 508 7247 - www.activ8driving.com to anybody … EVER! For those of you who read their website and fell for its content, STOP NOW and sign up with a reputable driving school. Save your money and spare yourself the stress and anxiety you will most definitely go through.

I am also currently planning to open a criminal case against ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL. I would help a great deal to share our experiences against them and I am happy to talk to anyone who also intends to prosecute ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL.

Just like the first blogger and to use his/her own words, I too believe that: ‘ACTIVE 8 DRIVING SCHOOL is just a criminal syndicate waiting to pounce on their next vulnerable, unsuspecting victim.’

Once again, STAY AWAY from: ACTIV8 DRIVING SCHOOL - 0845 508 7247 - www.activ8driving.com

I have just took an intensive driving last week. Had my test this morning but unfortunately I failed, not massive failure though.

I Didn't like my test time slot as soon as I received it, 8:10 AM London rush hour time.....ergh!
The roads are full of impatient drivers at that time who blow their horns and tailgate. Not good under the pressure of a driving test.

Next test I will deff ask for one after 9:30 AM when the roads are getting quiet.

Anyway, my experience with Active8 as a company wasn't great.
They said they would take £35 as an admin charge, it was £100 they took.

They didn't communicate much to me, I had to keep calling them asking about whats going on. all they said was that they were still arranging it.
As I work full time I had to arrange a week off work. After I had no communication from them I was going to cancel my week off and demand a full refund.

it was then they told me that I had an instructor for the week.

He was a good instructor, though he said he would be at my place at 7AM this morn so we could have an hours driving before my test.
He did not show up till 7:40. leaving me nervous that I may be late and getting flustered. This is not something you want to be before your driving test.

We just got to the test centre on time but I had no time to compose myself as I was called immediately for my test.

I would not recommend activ8 to anyone though.
Go with a reputable, well known company. It maybe a bit more expensive but at least they know what they are doing.
I got my intensive weeks driving but I got stressed with them.

My Fiancé is taking his 1st test today after doing an intense course with Activ8. They didn't communicate all that well with regards to money. Took £100, which I though included the the theory test money. They then took 35 from my account without permision to pay for theory and 65 for practical. When I asked they said this had been explained. At one point an accountant said they would be taking another admin charge of £35, but they later said this was not the case. The theory test was booked ASAP but we couldn't get a test for the desired day so we have had to pay driving insructor another £100 for more lessons. SO far it's cost is £955, so lets hope he passes or there will be hell to pay. !

I have just finished a course with the activ8 school, and would like to say that i had been very happy with how they dealt with my course up to the point when my instructor turned up.
All that stuff the last person mentioned about the payment is rubbish because i was told about all the admin stuff which i agreed to.
They got me the quick test and stuff and the girls on the phone where all helpfull.
My problem started when my instructor turned up, i should of read the details containing his name when they sent me the info.

He was lets say of the other side and hated each day in the car with him ..cant stand curry at the best of times, so i was upset when one of bin ladens messengers turned up at my door.
i paid a lot of money out and wanted to cancel my course
but was told i had no grounds to
i failed my 1st attempt but passed my 2nd with a lets say real instructor.(one of my own)

Okay, so this blog made me a bit concerned about booking an intense week for my fiancé. But looking back I must say that the service was very good. In less than two weeks we had the theory test booked, the driving lessons booked and the driving practical test booked. In the two weeks between being made redundant and starting a new job my fiancé was able to gain all the driving skills and knowledge he needed and take his first test. Sure he didn't pass first time, but who does these days! Activ8 were in contact during the week following his test and booked another test for free (no more money has gone out of my account and my details have been destroyed) We are just paying the driving instructor for a lesson a week until then.
While the effectiveness of intense courses on passing the driving test remains to be seen, I would recommend Activ8 if, like Alex, you found yourself with the time and money to invest in a week of lessons. I am guilty myself of getting on the bandwagon, but that's what this kind of scare mongering aims to do. My only criticism to Activ8 was perhaps that the website was not operation and I couldn't always get through on the telephone. Little things like that are what cause people to believe the rubbish on this page. Perhaps the new management could quench such gossip; a working website would be re-assuring, as would a letter or email to confirm all the details of what will be paid from the customers account.
I should also say that the driving instructor, Alan, is apparently very good and that there person in the first post may be just a but sore for failing again even after 'several crash courses'.

Hi, I am one of the instructors sourced through Activ8. I have had the same comments from my pupils I have recieved from them and I also struggle for payment. However, those pupils that are fortunate enough to get me can rest assure that the communication troubles stop there and financiaql issues are solved. However I can not divulge my identity for obvious reasons. Good luck to you all for the future tests etc.xxx

Activ8 and intensive driving online is run by wendy and jay who actually live in Spain. Only one office, and this also explains the euro issue. Only pay large sums of monies directly to your instructor. Saves you getting ripped off.

I have just checked my bank account and they have doen the exact same to me!!!
I cant believe it. And they had the cheek to call me tongiht and say that I need to pay a £35 admin charge or they are cancelling my test. Turns out I paid for the test. They have been charging my credit card without me knowing
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU HAVE PAID 1400 FOR LESSONS, WHY WERE YOU GOING FOR A RE TEST AFTER 22HOURS, THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.1400 WOULD HAVE BEEN FOR AT LEAST A 40 HOUR GAURANTEE COURSE, SO SOMEONE IS LYING....DON'T BELIEVE ALL THAT YOU READ!

MY TWO SONS PASSED WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY USED MY CARD FOR THE AGREED AMOUNT AND I HAD NO PROBLEM, AND HAVE SINCE RECOMMENDED THEM TO FRIENDS WHO ALSO USED THEM. I HAVE A SUSPICION THIS IS A RIVAL COMPANY FEEDING RUBBISH TO DESUADE PEOPLE.

STOP TELLING TALES AND GET A LIFE!

I too have been ripped off for £1,300. I was using the website www.intensivedrivingonline.com. They took my money and have not provided me with any lessons. Does anyone know what I can do to get my money back? Their website is down and the telephone doesn't work. They have just disappeared into thin air and have taken my money with them. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. They have lied to me all the way through this.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT FALL INTO THE SAME TRAP. Activ8, intensivedrivingonline and intensivecrashcoursedriving.com cannot be trusted under any circumstances. It is all a big con.

These guys are fraudsters. I paid up front for my driving course only to find that on the first day I was supposed to start the course the instructor didn't pitch up. I requested to cancel my course and for them to return the funds on the basis that they did not fulfil their obligations. I hastily agreed, to pay for the lessons due to happen on day 1 as supposedly the instructor arrived after I'd left (an hour and a half later, him having not responded to my calls and nor had the company). They never returned my money (£936), they never responded to my calls and emails.

I subsequently instructed lawyers to take action to recover the funds. They did not respond to any legal letters and their registered address did not exist.

I intend to sue for the full amount including the consequential loss have suffered. As a lawyer myself, I know that the amount will be recovered and that all legal costs incurred will be pais by Activ8.

They are rogue traders and are regularly committing criminal offences under the Theft Act.

My incident took place in 2007 and I ahve documented everything. Anybody else that wishes to take action should do the same.
